Layde steel slu is located in Durango, The Basque Country and was founded in 1941.
Throughout its history, it has been dedicated to the transformation of steel products. Its main activity focused on cold re-rolled steel and was a specialist when low thickness, tight tolerances and specific mechanical properties were needed. It also worked in High Carbon steels.
In order to respond to an increasingly demanding market, Layde has diversified its product portfolio to include not only cold rerolled products but also those called Service Centre.
Layde Steel slu ( Layde ) is a subsidiary of Tata Steel, the second largest steel producer in Europe, with an annual output of 20 million tons.
Tata Steel Europe comprises of four main divisions; Long Products, Strip Products Mainland Europe, Strip Products UK and Speciality Businesses & Distribution. It is in this last one, where Layde operates, in Distribution Mainland Europe.
